Stir a chloroform (100mL) solution of (3-aminopyridine-4-yl)-methanol (10.4g) and manganese dioxide (50.3g) at room temperature for 18 hours. The reaction solution was filtered through Celite® and concentrated to obtain the title compound (10.1g). LC-MS ([M H] /Rt (min)): 123.0/0.218.
